17th Newsletter on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction in the Republic of Serbia

Published 17.10.2013.

Tim za socijalno uključivanje i smanjenje siromaštva - SIPRUIn order to commemorate October 17, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we have prepared the 17th Newsletter on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction in the Republic of Serbia, which is produced regularly to provide information on the latest initiatives contributing to social inclusion and poverty reduction in the Republic of Serbia.

We are also commemorating this day by supporting the edition of the magazine “LiceUlice” dedicated to social inclusion. The magazine can be purchased from street vendors, thereby supporting their economic independence and social inclusion.

On the same occasion, we are organizing Ignite Belgrade on Social Inclusion, on Monday 21 October at 8p.m. in Mixer House. Ignite is part of the global movement to hold fast-paced and concise presentations that inspire and present new ideas to the audience in an informal setting.

The Newsletter is available at: Seventeenth Newsletter on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction in the Republic of Serbia.

Some of the articles featured in the Newsletter:

  • László Andor, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion:  “We are Concerned about the Number of Unemployed Youth in Serbia“,
  • Launch of the Second National Report on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction in the Republic of Serbia,
  • Action Plan for  Fulfilment of the European Commission Recommendations Implemented 84%,
  • Mapping of Available Non-Residential Social Welfare Services in the Mandate of Local Governments in 2011 and 2012,

Sincerely,
