At the press conference at the City Hall in Niš on the occasion of announcing the Public Invitation for the Use of Services and Connecting with the Center for Innovative Youth Entrepreneurship (Start-Up Center) at the city’s Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Popović announced that the first start-up companies would move into this center in September.

Their work will be targeted at export and the domestic market. This means new jobs, which is important to retain the young talented people in Niš, as well as the continuation of the tradition of the city as an innovation and technology center, the minister said.

The deadline for applications is 5 PM on August 21, and eligible for applying are teams of active and graduated students, potential entrepreneurs, and spin-off teams with innovative ideas for the development of new products, services, and technologies.

Apart from them, the invitation is extended also to new high-tech companies up to two years in business that have already started working on the development of innovative products, services, and technologies that meet market demands.

The Start-Up Center will provide those that rank best with business premises, bookkeeping and other services, educational trainings, consulting, equipment use, networking, and collaboration with other similar centers.
