A quality and equitable education provides every person with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills, as a precondition for greater social inclusion and active participation in society. Reforms in the domain of social inclusion are particularly important in the Republic of Serbia, intended to provide equal education opportunities for every individual, regardless of socio-economic status, ethnic origin, place of residence, disability, etc.
The Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit is an active participant in designing pathways for the development of policies in the field of education, particularly with the aim of improving the status of vulnerable groups. Unit activities include: support for drafting regulations and strategic documents, analysis and proposal of measures for additional support to students from vulnerable groups, improving educational statistics, support to the improvement of the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in education, and the provision of support for developing and implementing project ideas by partner organizations and institutions.
