The Ministry of culture and Information has published the Open Call for co-financing projects in the field of public information in languages of national minorities in 2017.

The aim of the Call is to provide financial support to media contents which enable national minorities to exercise their rights to public information in their own language and to preserve their culture and identity, as defined by Article 13 of the Law on Public Information and Media.

The Programme priorities are:

1. media content designed to preserve the culture and language identity of national minorities;
2. strengthening the capacity of experts in the field providing information to national minorities;
3. developing a dialogue, better relationship and understanding between different communities;
4. programmes for children;
5. gender equality.

The deadline for submission of project applications is 16 March 2017.
