Koordinaciono telo za rodnu ravnopravnost - logoUnder the auspices of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality, the Association of Business Women in Serbia opened the competition for the selection of the most gender-sensitive companies in Serbia.

Companies which apply Corporate Social Responsibility strategies, and are guided by the principles of gender equality, fair treatment of all employees, respecting and promoting human rights and non-discrimination, companies which promote education, training and professional development of their female employees, work on securing health, security and equality for everyone, as well as publicly advocate equality and include companies run by women in their supply chains will contribute to the creation of a new, gender-sensitive climate in Serbia.

The competition for the most gender-sensitive company is part of the project called “Fair in the Value Chain” initiated by the Coordination Body for Gender Equality and the Association of Business Women in Serbia with the support of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC), the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Netherlands Embassy in Serbia. This project was created in order to provide a more direct support to female entrepreneurship and encourage the inclusion of women in the supply chain of large companies, because this is not only a matter of social responsibility, but it is also the economic interest of the country, and it signifies better and faster economic development and GDP growth.

The award in the category “The most Gender Sensitive Company” will be presented in October 2018 at the “Flower of Success for the Dragon Lady” award ceremony as part of the celebration of 20th anniversary of the Association of Business Women in Serbia.
