For more than a year and with great effort and numerous consultations, the Public Policy Secretariat of the Republic of Serbia has been preparing and continuously improving the content of the new package of regulations which will regulate the system of planning and the system of management of public policies in the Republic of Serbia.

Drafts were prepared of:

• Law on the Planning System in Serbia and two accompanying Decrees;
• Decree on the Public Policy Management Methodology, analysis of the effects of public policies and regulations, and the content of individual public policy documents, and;
• Decree on medium-term planning.

These regulations will improve the efficiency of planning and management of public policies in the Republic of Serbia, as well as the typology and hierarchy of planning documents, and transparency of the process of development of public policy documents (such as strategies, programmes and action plans). The objective is to contribute to better performance and efficiency of the reforms planned in public policy documents mentioned above, by introducing efficient mechanisms into the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring processes.

The Public Policy Secretariat of the Republic of Serbia is publishing this package of regulations on its website in order to continue with informal consultations with stakeholders. All comments and suggestions should be sent to this email address:  office@rsjp.gov.rs
