Tim za socijalno uključivanje i smanjenje siromaštva

The Office for Human and Minority Rights of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with the “Amity” Association, celebrated the International Day of Older Persons on 1 October by way of a boat cruise along the Danube and Sava.

On this occasion the Director of the Office for Human and Minority Rights of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Suzana Paunović noted that this is the year of intergenerational solidarity, as well as that the Government will actively continue its support for the elderly and the improvement of their material status.

The goal of celebrating the International Day of Older Persons is to direct public attention towards the needs of the elderly, as well as the strengthening of ties with the youngest members of the social community, as this also develops a feeling of solidarity and care, assessed Paunović.
