“National Annual Conference on Career Guidance and Counseling” Event Held

konferencija_karijerno_vodjenjeFor the fourth year in a row the Belgrade Open School is organizing the professional event “National Annual Conference on Career Guidance and Counseling”, accredited by the Institute for the Improvement of Education. The conference was organized on 23 November 2016 within the premises of Palas Hotel, gathering over 100 teachers from across Serbia.

The goal of the “National Annual Conference on Career Guidance and Counseling” was to provide specific advice and mechanisms for representatives of secondary schools to improve their career guidance and counseling services. The conference presented examples of good practice from across Serbia, representing a driver of change in the world of education.

The conference presented the Analysis of school curricula for career guidance and counseling and the Handbook for the Promotion of Educational Profiles in Secondary Schools developed by the Belgrade Open School. Particular attention was given to presenting the results of the Working group for drafting the service standards for career guidance and counseling.

The professional conference was organized as part of the project “Advocating the Improvement of Quality in the Field of Career Guidance and Counseling in Serbia – KViS at BIS II” aimed at improving the employability of young people and lifelong learning through the improvement of the sustainability and quality of the system of career guidance and counseling. The project is being implemented by the Belgrade Open School, with the support of Solidar Suisse/Swiss Labour Assistance (SLA) – Office in Serbia.
