Ninth Competition for VIRTUS Awards Under Way – Awards for Those Who Care (Deadline: 4/11/2015)

VIRTUS - logoTrag Foundation, with the support of the European Union, the Balkans Fund for Democracy and in partnership with USAID, is issuing the ninth call for the VIRTUS award for philanthropy. The call is open for all local and international companies, corporations, public and state enterprises, small and medium enterprises, media companies, corporate funds and foundations and individuals. Non-profit organizations, public institutions and administration bodies have no right to apply, but have the right to nominate candidates for the award.

The VIRTUS award for 2015 will be awarded in five main categories:

  • Main award for company contributions at the national level
  • Award for contributions to the local community wherein the company operates
  • Award for small and medium enterprise
  • Award for long-term partnership between the business and non-profit sector
  • Award for individual contributions to philanthropy

Candidates for awards in all areas may be nominated by all interested citizens, individuals, non-profit organizations, media, PR and marketing agencies, as well as companies and enterprises having programmes in the field of corporate philanthropy.

The deadline for applications is 4/11/2015.

The VIRTUS award was established in 2007 as the first and most important award for corporate philanthropy in Serbia, promoting corporate social responsibility as an integral part of the sustainable development of companies. It is intended for both large companies and small and medium enterprises, as well as individuals who have, during 2014, contributed in the most effective way to the general good by providing material or other support to non-profit activities or civil society organizations.

The award ceremony will be held in Belgrade, in late January 2016. The winners will be decided by an independent jury comprised of renowned individuals and experts from the world of economy, civil sector, media and marketing.
