Published 17.09.2018.

The Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Zoran Ðorđević expressed gratitude on 17 September to the UNICEF Representative in Serbia Regina de Dominicis for the support provided by this organization to Serbia in the segment of improving the social protection system.

Đorđević, wishing success to the newly appointed UNICEF Representative, expressed hope that during her mandate the successful cooperation of Serbia and UNICEF on improving the quality of protection of the rights of children and quality of services provided to children and families with children will continue.

The goal of the Government of the Republic of Serbia is to increase care for children without parental care. We wish to expand and improve cooperation with UNICEF in all areas that have a need for systematic and strategic solutions, since this organization represents one of our key partners in the field of child protection, explained the Minister.

Dominicis noted that Serbia represents a real example of responsible and humane policies regarding migration management, at the same time thanking Đorđević for the extraordinary efforts aimed towards achieving safety and improving the conditions for children from socially vulnerable categories.
