Seven Best “Ideas for a Better Tomorrow” Awarded EUR 40,000

Pobednici konkursa "Ideje za bolje sutra"On 20 November, UniCredit Foundation, UniCredit Bank, Foundation “Ana and Vlade Divac”, and SMART Kolektiv presented the winners of the third edition of the competition “Ideas for a Better Tomorrow” which aims to contribute to the development of social entrepreneurship, as well as to finding ideas for products and services which would enhance Serbia’s regional and international image. Around 130 ideas were received in the period from 6 June until 18 July 2017.

During the second phase, the commission selected 15 finalists which proposed the best ideas. They then had the opportunity to work with experts on developing business plans. After the creation and evaluation of business plans, expert commission, based on innovation of ideas and sustainability of projects, selected the winners. Seven finalists received grants in the total amount of EUR 40,000.

The commission unanimously decided to award EUR 35,000 to the following finalists: Initiative for Social Empowerment, Citizen Association for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and all Forms of Gender-Based Violence “Atina”, Citizen association “Vunena”, Association for Support of People with Developmental Disabilities “Naša kuća”, Association for Support of Persons with Psychophysical Disorders “ZaJedno”, Social Agricultural Cooperation “Nova Perspektiva” and Citizen association “Liceulice”. Furthermore, the employees of the UniCredit Bank had the opportunity to vote and select two organisations which would be awarded additional EUR 2,500 each, the selected organisations were “Atina” and “Naša kuća”
