The fifth Social Impact Award Serbia in a row has officially been opened, representing a call for ideas for the development of businesses that solve a social or environmental problem. Register your entrepreneurial idea and win support for implementing it!
All teams and individuals applying for the competition by 1 June 2019 complete a screening and jury evaluation, and based on their votes 10 of the best business ideas enter the finals. The finalists then go through incubation, reaching the most valuable segment of the SIA programme, training – three months of intensive work by the teams on their projects during the period June – September 2019, with provided expert training and a mentorship programme.
An award ceremony will be organized in October 2019, when the finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas before a jury and present their development through the incubation period. The jury will then select the best three teams, i.e. projects, with votes in an online poll also counted to proclaim the fourth winner. These four teams will win the following prizes:
- EUR 1,500 each for starting their business,
- Mentor support,
- Trip to a world SIA summit in Kiev, attended by winners from all the countries implementing this programme.
The right to participation in the SIA programme is open to all citizens of Serbia aged 15-30 years. If the team has already started working on the idea, it is important that the work started after 1 January 2018 and that the project did not receive financial support exceeding EUR 3,000.
