The Government of the Republic of Serbia, acting on a proposal by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, adopted the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy for the Scientific and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia for 2016-2020 – “Research for Innovation” during its session held on 30 July 2018.

The Action Plan establishes measures for improving excellence and relevance in the field of science and the ecosystem of innovation within specific objectives defined by the 2020 Strategy, along with instruments and guidelines for achieving them.

The Action Plan will implement the mission of the Strategy with the aim of establishing an effective national research and innovation system integrated into the European Research Area, relying on partnerships in the country and abroad and contributing to economic growth, increasing the competitiveness of the economy, social and cultural progress, increasing the living standard of citizens and their quality of life.
