In the following period, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will start drafting the Law on Amendments to the Law on National Councils of National Minorities. The amendment to this Law is stipulated as an activity in the Draft National Plan for the Chapter 23 (Judiciary and Fundamental Rights) with the aim of improving the rights and position of the national minorities’ members.

A Special Working Group for Drafting the Law on Amendments to the Law on National Councils of National Minorities will be established for this purpose. The representative/s of relevant state authorities, national councils of national minorities, civil society organizations and experts will be included in the work of this group.

The call for those who are interested in applying for participating in the Special Working Group is closed on 3 November 2015.
