Ignite represents a part of a global movement of holding quick and brief presentations aimed at inspiring the audience and presenting new ideas in an informal environment – café or club. The first Ignite meeting was held in Seattle (USA) in 2006, and has since become an international phenomenon in a very short period. Today, this dynamic method of presenting ideas is practiced in over 100 cities worldwide – the rules are the same everywhere: anyone may apply as an Ignite participant; presentations last for 5 minutes; each presentation consists of 20 PowerPoint slides; the slides switch automatically every 15 seconds; the presenter has no control over the switching of the slides.
The first Ignite event in Belgrade was organized in October 2009. “Serbia in Motion” has been regularly organizing this event since then, aiming to set young people in motion in improving their public performance, presentation and achieving their ideas.
