The third event dedicated to the use of information-communication technologies (ICT) in education – the conference and fair “New Technologies in Education 2016” will be held at the Belexpocetre and the Holiday Inn Hotel in Belgrade on 26 and 27 February 2016.
The large regional conference in Belgrade will also be followed by a fair programme wherein solutions will be presented by companies, publishers and educational institutions from Serbia and the region, as well as from the United Kingdom. One novelty compared to the previous year is that there will be talk of the use of ICT in preschool education, the use of ICT in lifelong learning and examples of good practice from representatives of these areas.
The event will cover the following subjects:
- Use of ICT in preschool education,
- Use of ICT in primary schools,
- Use of ICT in secondary schools,
- Use of ICT in universities,
- Inclusive education with ICT support,
- Use of ICT in lifelong learning.
Conference participation is free of charge, and lectures will be held in the Serbian and English language. The conference programme will be implemented in several halls.
We hereby invite representatives of ICT companies, publishers, schools, faculties, national and local state institutions, agencies, civil society organizations and all those interested in contributing to the improvement of the quality of education to register their participation at “New Technologies in Education”. Through the exchange of experiences, presenting successful examples from the region and worldwide, we will jointly try to reach conclusions that will help us make a step forward towards a more inclusive and quality education for the 21st century. Applications are open until 8 February 2016.
Applications for lecturers are open until 23 October 2015, and authors of works selected for presenting at the conference will be invited at the latest by 11 December 2015.
The event is organized by the British Council in cooperation with the Embassy of UK in Belgrade, the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and other partners.
