According to the reports made by independent bodies, Roma population is one of the most vulnerable groups still facing difficult living conditions and discrimination regarding the access to welfare, healthcare, employment and adequate housing.
On the International Roma day, the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia, United Nations Team in Serbia, the Mission of OEBS in Serbia and the Office of the European Council in Belgrade have once again highlighted their firm dedication to equality and non-discrimination.
Reports made by relevant international organizations, along with the reports made by independent bodies in Serbia cite that, today, the Roma community, the largest ethnic minority in Europe is still faced with strong discrimination and marginalization in countries throughout Europe and in Serbia as well. Roma people are still the most vulnerable group; they are still faced with difficult living conditions and discrimination regarding the access to welfare, healthcare, employment and adequate housing.
