As part of the project “Agricultural-Educational Office – Zlatiborka”, implemented by the municipality of Čajetina in cooperation with the associations “Zlatiborski plodovi” and “Savez seoskih zena Čajetine” and the AH for the development of agriculture “Zlatiborski eko agrar” d.o.o., and with the aim of providing a contribution to the establishment of local support mechanisms for the economic empowerment of women from rural areas, a catalogue has been published under the title “Benefit from Zlatibor”.
This trilingual catalogue was published with the desire to promote products made by women in villages, and thus facilitate their path towards achieving economic independence.
The catalogue “Benefit from Zlatibor” was produced in the process of researching the traditional ways of making these products, the unique procedure described in this publication. All of the raw materials used in manufacturing originate from the territory of the municipality of Čajetina, except for the cured meat products where the raw materials may be from the territory of the entire Republic of Serbia. In addition to traditional food products, the warranty seal is also born by traditional clothing, restaurants, and of course, village tourist households of hosts from Zlatibor.
The lavishly illustrated publication “Benefits from Zlatibor” brings useful information on the preparation of products, method for obtaining raw materials, as well as important historical data regarding the tradition of manufacturing these products.
The publication is intended for catering facilities in the municipality of Čajetina, institutions and companies that promote the tourist offer of the municipality in the domestic and international market, and all citizens who wish to enjoy food with a known origin in their homes, produced in the traditional way.
The project “Agricultural-Educational Office – Zlatiborka” is being implemented under the Local Initiatives Programme for Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction – Support to the Development of Innovative Models for Social Inclusion LIP 2, coordinated by the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit of the Government of the Republic of Serbia (SIPRU) with support by the Government of Switzerland. The project has established an Agricultural-Educational Office within the AH “Zlatiborski eko agrar” d.o.o. as institutional, systematic and expert support for women from villages, providing for increased employability and employment of women in the rural areas of the municipality of Čajetina.
