The Central-European University (CEU) initiated the Roma Employment Programme aiming to contribute to the development of professional skills of Roma persons having completed a master’s programme, and to promote their participation in the civil sector. In order to achieve this goal, CEU intends to create four employment options with lasting for a maximum of one year, in non-government organizations in Serbia and Macedonia. Likewise, the programme intends to support non-profit organizations in developing equality and social diversity policies. The final goal is for Roma persons to be part of non-Roma organizations engaged in various areas.
The programme is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED, USA) and CEU.
