The Collection of Student Papers on the EU represents the final result of the competition conducted by the Ministry of European Integration of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the best student papers on the European Union. The open call for the competition was published in February 2017 with the aim to contribute not only to the higher quality and more sophisticated reflection on the topic of the European Union, along with all the processes and transformations that Serbia’s integration in this community involves, but also to raising awareness among students about the importance of academic writing and access to topics which are essential for the whole society.
The Ministry gave students the opportunity to give their answers to one of four current topics related to the EU. This Collection of papers is divided into four different parts according to these topics: Serbia in the accession process: challenges and perspectives of the EU enlargement policy; the Reform potential of the EU integration for Serbia: developmental, normative and value aspects; Cultural, social and political dimensions of the European identity; Myths about the EU: prejudice about Euro-integration as a result of insufficient information.
