The competition of the National Forum for “Green Ideas” is completed, organized for the third time by the Trag Foundation in partnership with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Erste Bank. The goal of the competition is to recognize and support ideas with the greatest potential for sustainability, i.e. achieving socio-economic development impact on the local community, while preserving natural resources and the environment.
The competition for submitting ideas was open until 25 May 2015.
The National Forum for Green Ideas is intended to stimulate individuals, associations and small enterprises to develop green business ideas, using local resources and revitalizing traditional production.
The three ideas deemed most significant for important changes at the local level will be awarded 5,000 USD each.
In addition to the award at the National Forum, all three awarded ideas will participate in the July 2015 Regional Forum of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) in Kosovo, with the possibility of competing for the additional 10,000 USD reward. The awarded projects will be additionally supported through consultations and mentorship aiming to make them competitive and sustainable for the long term.
