The European Union Delegation to Serbia announced a call for project proposals as part of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights, with two million euros provided, said delegation member Yolanda San Jose at the presentation of a new round of support for civil society organizations. She said that civil society is recognized in the European Union as one of the main factors in the process of European integration and building democracy, and that two million euros have now been secured for projects.
Since 2007 the EU has secured 50 million euros for over 200 civil society organization projects across Serbia.
The deadline for applications is 25 May.
