There are more than 116,000 single parents with children under 18 in Serbia, 80% of them being single mothers, as stated at the conference on position of women in 2014. The latest surveys show the majority of citizens of Serbia believe that men and women are equal, with women having this opinion more frequently. According to the surveys, women hold 25% of the highest positions in companies and fewer than 30% of enterpreneurs are women.

Three surveys were presented on this occasion – on single parents, position of women in business and opinions of citizens on gender equality. The survey conducted by the IPSOS Strategic Marketing covered 916 respondents.
