The eighth session of the Coordination Body for Monitoring the Implementation of the Action Plan for the Relocation of the Population of the Newly-Formed Settlements of Makiš 1, Makiš 2, Resnik, Jabučki rit and Kijevo was held, chaired by Goran Vesić, the city manager.
New locations were considered for the construction of social housing apartments for families encompassed by the project and the next location was found to be in Ovča. The City of Belgrade, along with the European Commission delegation, UNOPS and other partners in this project, will prepare all the necessary documentation to start the construction of these buildings in the coming period.
The Coordination Body adopted the Rulebook for the Selection of Social Housing Beneficiaries that will be used to provide social housing apartments to families encompassed by the programme, as well as social housing under protected conditions. According to the Rulebook, the apartments that are the property of the city shall be awarded for use to families that meet the conditions from the Rulebook for a period of five years, with their status to be checked yearly. This Rulebook was adopted in coordination with the European Union Delegation to Serbia and represents an introduction to the adoption of a Rulebook that would encompass all cases of social housing and social housing under protected conditions.
