Tim za socijalno uključivanje i smanjenje siromaštva

Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development took part in the conference “Democracy in Action”, held on 6 and 7 June in Athens.

The conference provides for an overview of educational resources developed under the educational programmes of the Council of Europe and advances synergy in the promotion of democracy and human rights in the field of education.

Various types of resources and inclusive approaches to educational practices have been presented in regards to the network of democratic schools, and the implementation of the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture. In addition to representatives of the MESTD, a representative of the IIE also took part, and they exchanged their experiences with 120 colleagues from member states of the Council of Europe.

The conference was also the venue for launching the new website www.living-democracy.com, developed by the Zurich University of Teacher Education in cooperation with the Council of Europe.

Translated and adapted manuals from the website can be found on the Ministry website, and on the website www.living-democracy.rs, so as to be available for use by teachers.

The conference was organized in cooperation by the Council of Europe, Zurich University of Teacher Education and the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of Greece, hosting the event.
