The Digital School project has contributed considerably to raising the digital literacy level in Serbian primary schools, introduced an innovative teaching approach, reduced the rural-urban digital literacy gap from 39% to 11% and improved students’ and teachers’ knowledge of online safety, according to the UN and UNESCO Broadband Commission report on education and ICT.
The first case study presented in the report is the Digital School project from Serbia. It is assessed that the Serbian project is the ideal model for e-inclusion in schools at all levels, and Serbia is named as an example of a country that invests in IT education.
