On 5 July, the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Vanja Udovičić presented the basic elements of Serbian youth policy and strategic documents to the representatives of the German Federal Youth Council.
During the meeting, Udovičić said that Serbia had a developed youth policy, strategic documents and established structures in the youth sector, but that more work was needed with regard to youth employment and increased activism.
Udovičić said that this would also be defined by amendments to the Youth Law, which were being prepared in cooperation with youth representatives, and added that in this respect the experience of German Federal Youth Council would be beneficial.
Guests from Germany expressed a particular interest in receiving information on cooperation with the major partners at the local, national and international level, but also on priorities in various fields and previous collaboration with Germany. Furthermore, the possibilities for further improvement of collaboration in the youth sector were also discussed.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports apart from Udovičić, the meeting was attended by Assistant Minister Snežana Klašnja and representatives of the National Youth Council of Serbia.
