In the Year of Entrepreneurship, the Government of the Republic of Serbia offered various options to the SMEE sector for starting and developing businesses, through financial and non-financial support packages. A number of entrepreneurs in Eastern Serbia benefited from the available options.
As an accredited regional development agency, RARIS actively participated in the implementation of a large number of activities in the territory of Eastern Serbia, offering assistance to interested entrepreneurs to apply for support programmes.
- Under the programme of Support to Further Development, 3 entrepreneurs received a total amount of RSD 755,000.
- The Internationalisation programme provided financial support to 2 entrepreneurs, totalling RSD 1.5 million.
- The programme of Subsidised Procurement of Equipment supported 11 entrepreneurs, with a total amount of RSD 11,829,419.
- Under the Special-Purpose Start Up programme, 2 clients received financial support in the amount of RSD 800,000 and counselling support for applying, preparing the documents and registering their sole proprietorships.
- In 2016, RARIS held 22 promotional activities in which 340 interested parties were informed about the current developments in the field of entrepreneurship.
- RARIS managers held 24 training courses in various areas of entrepreneurship, which were attended by 311 trainees.
- Counselling activities covered 31 entrepreneurs with more than 75 hours of services provided.
- The Mentoring Programme was implemented with 3 entrepreneurs, through 110 hours of consulting services.
It has been announced that the state will continue providing active support measures to small businesses in 2017, as well. RARIS expects greater turnout of interested entrepreneurs this year.
