The Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić and the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Šarčević attended the presentation of the eProsveta project and the first esDnevnik service on 23 August at the Second School of Economy in Belgrade.
This is a strategic project by the Ministry of Education, to be piloted across 200 schools in the autumn. The main goal of eProsveta is the provision of national educational electronic services raising and improving the digital maturity of schools as a precondition for the successful digital transformation of education for the 21st century.
eProsveta has five services: esDnevnik, eLektira, virtual museums, information systems for learning analytics and the national platform for the development, distribution and use of select digital educational content. eProsveta services will provide support and assistance to teachers in running lessons and school administration with a focus on student achievements and attendance.
The first service to be applied is esDnevnik, fully replacing the paper form of keeping records. It will enable teachers, headmasters and principals to keep student records in a quick, simple and reliable way. It provides full insight into student progress, the work of teachers and schools, as well as insight into information at the time they are created. In order to provide greater objectivity in grading, teachers can only see grades from their own subject, not from others.
