The European PROGRES development programme issued a public call for awarding grants to entrepreneurs, micro and small enterprises, aiming to increase production and create the conditions for opening new jobs. The European Union and the Government of Switzerland earmarked a total of EUR 250,000 for this activity, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the local economy in 34 municipalities in the southeast and southwest of Serbia. The public call will be open until 10 June 2016.
The programme will support at least 12 projects. The funds awarded per project may not exceed EUR 25,000 for small enterprises and EUR 15,000 for micro enterprises and entrepreneurs, with the project submitters to provide financial participation at 30% of the requested value of the donation. The European PROGRES programme will not be awarding financial grants, instead procuring equipment or providing services up to the awarded amount intended to contribute to increasing productivity, opening new jobs or expanding markets. A precondition for project financing is the readiness of applicants to implement corporate social responsibility activities.
More information on the call, along with the documentation for applications, is available at the European PROGRES website: www.europeanprogres.org
