The Republic Agency for Electronic Communications assigned the single European telephone number for missing children 116000 to the non-governmental organisation Astra.
The services provided via this number are registration of disappearance of children and its forwarding to the police, provision of support to parents and guardians of missing children and support to the police in investigation.
The introduction of the single telephone number for missing children is a result of cooperation between Astra and the South-East Europe Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. The support was ensured from the company Vip.
For the fifth consecutive time, Astra got the accreditation from the Institute for Advancement of Education for the programme “Trafficking in Human Beings (children) – prevention and education “.
The objective of the programme is to train teachers to identify potential victims and to develop potentials for prevention and education.
