The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) are organizing a fine arts competition and competition for the best photograph for students of primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Serbia, with the subject “WE ARE ALL EQUAL AND WE CAN LIVE TOGETHER!”
The goal of the competition is promoting equality and respect for diversity. The organizers wish to raise the level of tolerance and acceptance of diversity among primary and secondary school students, along with the level of awareness and sensitivity to recognize discrimination. Through their work, the children will send the message that we are all equal and that we can all live together regardless of personal characteristics such as nationality, faith, colour of skin, disability, health issues, sexual orientation, gender, wealth, age, appearance and other personal characteristics.
Awards will be given in three categories:
- Best drawing – 1st to 4th grade of primary school
- Best drawing – 5st to 8th grade of primary school
- Best photograph – secondary school students.
The deadline for the submission of entries is 22 December 2014.
