The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, in collaboration with the Incest Trauma Centre – Belgrade, organised the Inaugural Day or the first National Network of Schools and Preschool Institutions against Sexual Violence on 21 February at the Kolarac Foundation Small Hall.
The goal of the National Network is to connect educational workers and institutions at the national and local levels and strengthen their competences for the protection of pupils and students against sexual violence, by organising training events on this topic.
The Incest Trauma Centre – Belgrade has announced that the provision of anti-sexual violence training packages for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools has officially started as of the beginning of the current semester. The training packages were developed by a team that included the Incest Trauma Centre – Belgrade, the Ministry of Education (Group for Protection against Violence and Discrimination) and 27 individual contributors, among whom 21 are primary and secondary school teachers. The training packages were published in November 2016.
The National Network of Schools and Preschool Institutions against Sexual Violence is supported by the Canada Fund, the Australian Embassy and the European Union through the 2015 Civil Society Support Programme.
