The first preliminary PISA testing was held on 11 April at the Medical School Zvezdara. Preliminary PISA testing will be held in 41 schools across Serbia, testing reading, mathematics, scientific, and for the first time, financial literacy.

The preliminary PISA testing is organized to check the metric characteristics of the test, with potential deficiencies to be eliminated prior to the main survey that will be held in early April next year. PISA is the largest international test of knowledge, aiming to promote functional knowledge. This year’s preliminary PISA testing is being implemented electronically, due to donors providing computers to be used by students for solving the tests.
