The Minister of Mining and Energy in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Antić, announced on 5 October that from the following month an even greater number of socially vulnerable consumers could count on free electricity and gas.
Antić announced the preparation of a new provision on energy protected consumers, with the adoption expected by the end of October, and the coming into force as of November.
He explained that a greater number of socially vulnerable citizens will have the option of applying for such aid by the state, with the possibility of applying for socially vulnerable categories, consumers with endangered health, and beneficiaries of care and aid by others.
