The competition for good practice examples in inclusive education, published in October 2017 by the Network of Support to Inclusive Education in cooperation with UNICEF and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, received 45 applications from across Serbia. The evaluation and selection was conducted in two phases, and the selection committee comprised of representatives of all three partners unanimously decided to reward the following examples:
- “The Story of a Special Boy”, by authors Sanja Novaković, pedagogue, and Danijela Krsmanović, biology teacher of the Economic-Trade School in Požarevac
- “Stefan” by author Borko Milošević, mathematics teacher at PS “Bata Bulić” in Petrovac na Mlavi
- “Step by Step”, by author Dina Zavarko, teacher at PS “Veljko Vlahović” in Novi Sad
- “Story of Tanja” by author Nadežda Čolić, mathematics teacher at PS “Veljko Vlahović” in Novi Sad
- “It Is More Important How than How Much – A Step towards Integrating Migrant Pupils in a Secondary School Environment” by author Gordana Pavlović, professor of Serbian Language, and Jovan Komlenac, psychologist at the “Sava Šumanović” gymnasium in Šid
- “Video Teacher” by author Atila Arpaš, mathematics teacher at PS “Šamu Mihalj” in Bačko Petrovo Selo.
A large number of examples received by the competition were evaluated as very good, and during the following period will be published on the website of the Network alongside those awarded.
