The Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić stated that the IT sector has a lot of potential and can represent a base for the economic growth and development of Serbia, speaking regarding the pilot programme in Belgrade whereby 23 attendants were requalified for the IT sector.
One of the courses under the pilot programme of requalification for the IT sector was completed at the Faculty of Organizational Science, with attendants receiving a diploma on having successfully completed training in the Java programming language. The attendants of the course are expected to take the test for the internationally recognized Oracle Java certificate and an opportunity for internships as junior programmers in several leading local IT companies.
The training for junior programmers in the IT sector is being implemented in Novi Sad and Niš, with all courses to be completed by the end of August, and thereafter the majority of attendants will start internships.
The pilot programme was initiated in April of this year by the Ministerial Council for Innovation Entrepreneurship and Information Technology.
