Within the “Strengthening political participation of persons with disabilities in the Republic of Serbia” project the Guide for Accessible Election Campaign has been published. This guide is intended for political parties in the Republic of Serbia and for advertising agencies working with those political parties. The project is being implemented by the Centre for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of Serbia and the National Organization of Persons with Disabilities of the Republic of Serbia with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
One of the components of this project is focused on the improvement of accessibility of the electoral process for PWD through active participation in the reform of the electoral system, and the establishment of cooperation with political parties, the Republic Electoral Commission, civil society organizations and other bodies that develop and implement measures that contribute to accessibility of the electoral process.
The objective of the “Strengthening the political participation of persons with disabilities in the Republic of Serbia” is strengthening the political participation of persons with disabilities in Serbia by promoting their influence on legislation and electoral process, in order to improve their human rights and social inclusion.
