The Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs at the Government of the Republic of Serbia Zoran Đorđević stated on 30 August that the process of establishing a national helpline for victims of violence is in the final phase.
Đorđević stated, after the opening of the event entitled “Together for Parents and Children”, that the goal of introducing this helpline is the prevention of violence in the family and school, and child abuse online.
The Minister announced that the national helpline will first be established in Belgrade, and subsequently across all of Serbia, and explained that it would be modelled after the practice existing in Scandinavian countries.
