SOS Dečija sela Srbije and NALED organized a conference entitled “How to Respond to the Employment Needs of Youth at Risk?” on 12 April, presenting the Analysis of the Status of Youth at Risk and recommendations for the improvement of their social and economic inclusion, produced as part of the project “Strong Youth – Support to Employment”.
Establishing a system for monitoring young people leaving their homes and foster families at the national level, and providing financial support during the first year of entering the labour market, are the key recommendations of the analysis of their current status presented at the conference “How to Respond to the Employment Needs of Youth at Risk?”.
The analysis studies the social and economic status of youth up to 30 years of age from vulnerable groups within the territory of the City of Belgrade, having held the status of children without parental care or involved in programmes of support to families at risk implemented by SOS Dečija sela Srbije.
The event, organized by the SOS Dečija sela Srbije Foundation and NALED, served to indicate that the largest part of the recommendations for improving the status of youth at risk is under the competence of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, and the National Employment Service.
