The director of the Office for Human and Minority Rights of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Suzana Paunović stated on 5 March that the mobile teams for Roma inclusion are a key resource and important mechanism in Roma inclusion, and that because of their efforts the lives of numerous members of the community were improved.
At the opening of the conference “Mobile Teams for Roma Inclusion – Achievements, Development and Perspective”, Paunović noted that the positive results are reflected in that the above teams contributed to rights, services and information being more accessible to members of the Roma national minority.
She pointed out that the mobile teams for Roma inclusion are already present in the field and are achieving certain results that everyone believes will improve even more by the end of the year. She explained that currently there are 20 mobile teams for Roma inclusion working in 20 local communities, noting that this good example can be transferred to other local self-governments, as well.
