During the promotion of good practice examples of socially beneficial work and work activation, Božović and Assistant Provincial Secretary for Social Policy, Demographics and Gender Equality Predrag Radović distributed the equipment and office supplies to 100 local communities within the Network of Offices for Poverty Reduction. On this occasion, Božović noted that a quarter of the population in Serbia is exposed to a risk of poverty, but that the Government of Serbia, headed by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, along with the line minister Zoran Đorđević, are setting their priority as the urgent improvement of employment and social welfare policies, to prevent further poverty among citizens.

This project was successfully implemented by the “Duga” association from Ada with 11 other partners, local communities, financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the cities of Zrenjanin and Kikinda, as well as representatives of the municipalities Senta, Nova Crnja, Žitište, Sremska Mitrovica, Sečanj, Šid, Vlasotince and Bojnik, states the notice by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.
