In addition to the prevention of violence, it is important to react in situations of violence and provide support to victims. Cooperation and networking among institutions and organizations will produce better results in this area. Online violence is perhaps less visible, but practice shows that this form of violence is very widespread.
These are some of the conclusions of the roundtable Intersectoral Cooperation in Drafting the Protocol on the Protection of Children from Abuse and Neglect, organized by the Centre for Family Support Obrenovac on 25 April, with the aim of exchanging experiences in the implementation of the Protocol and adopting guidelines to improve intersectoral cooperation in this field.
The Centre for Family Support Obrenovac, one of the programmes of SOS Dečija sela Serbia, is aimed at preventive work with socially and economically vulnerable families, to avoid the removal of children from families and improve the quality of life and respect for child rights in families recognized as being at risk.
