The efforts of both governments in 2012 towards enforcing the existing and adopting new laws, removing unnecessary bureaucratic procedures and reducing the expenses and charges levied on businesses was rated poorly – 31.7 out of 100 – according to the Regulatory Index of Serbia (RIS).
The Regulatory Index of Serbia is a new instrument for monitoring the Government’s performance in creating a more favourable business environment, developed by the NALED in cooperation with the USAID Business Enabling Project.
Through this instrument, the public will also be able to monitor which ministries attend to their tasks responsibly, analysing their performance in six key components.
