The European PROGRES programme published the second call for support to projects to be implemented through the cooperation of civil society organizations and local self-government institutions, aimed at the social and economic empowerment of vulnerable groups from 34 municipalities in south-eastern and south-western Serbia. The European Union and Government of Switzerland, by way of the Citizen Involvement Fund (CIF), will support these projects with EUR 345,000.
All submitted projects will have to be based in sustainable municipal development strategies and contribute to one of the following priorities: employment, education and training of vulnerable and marginalized groups; improvement of equal access to public services; promotion of interethnic dialog and intercultural cooperation; improvement of transparency in financing local civil society organizations from local self-government financial sources, thereby improving the overall level of good governance in the municipality.
The competition is open until 4 May 2016, with more information on the call, as well as the application documentation available at www.europeanprogres.org
