On May 5 the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Vanja Udovičić opened the Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) where the four year project for the employment of youth and women as well as the development of entrepreneurship in Serbia was presented.
On this occasion, Udovičić pointed out exceptional importance of this project which would be conducted in cooperation with the Government of Serbia considering it would provide training for 3.500 young entrepreneurs as well as support 1.000 businesses, finance the best 600 entrepreneurial ideas and, most important, create 3.000–6.000 new workplaces.
Having in mind the acute problem of the unemployment of youth and women, the Ministry established cooperation with UNIDO in 2015 to provide technical support for strengthening capacity of youth and women via specialized entrepreneurship and skill development training.
