Education is ever more accessible globally but socio –economic divisions among those with university education and other parts of the society are growing, shows the latest report “Education at a Glance 2014” of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) inviting the governments to invest more efforts to give everyone a chance at better education in early childhood.
The survey showed that young people whose parents hold university degrees were more often in universities than those whose parents hold lower degreees; that the highly educated persons are less frequently unemployed and are better paid than those with lower education.
Promotion of access to eduation for all and continuous improvement of skills is key to longterm prosperity and stronger social cohesion.
