This year Serbia will once again participate in the European campaign entitled “Online Week 2015”. IAN Telecenter, as the national partner of the campaign in Serbia, will be working on promoting information technologies and bringing them closer to their citizens, as well as on their digital literacy and empowerment.
Online week is an annual European digital campaign including and encouraging people to use new technologies and the internet, using skills providing them access to numerous possibilities in the online world. Online week 2015 supports the campaign e-Skills for Jobs, aiming to raise the awareness of the population on the need to improve ICT skills used in work. The initiative of the European Commission is a response to the increasing demand for ICT professionals, whose number currently remains low, despite a great demand.
This year, Online Week will be held between 23 and 29 March in telecenters, schools, public libraries, non-government organizations and educational centers across Europe.
