The Ministry of European Integration of the Government of the Republic of Serbia has issued an award competition for the selection of best individual student works on European integration and the process of our country’s accession to the European Union.
The goal of this award competition is to directly involve young academic citizens in an open debate on important aspects of the accession process and membership of the Republic of Serbia in the European Union.
The works should respond to one of five questions:
- What are all the challenges and factors affecting the accession path of Serbia?
- How does the process of European integration create and support the reform potential of Serbia?
- What makes the European idea, European integration project, social and value model of the EU attractive?
- What prejudice exists on the European integration of Serbia and how could it be overcome?
- What kind of a reformed European Union should a reformed Serbia accede to?
A committee comprised of professors from the University of Belgrade will evaluate the quality of the received works, and the authors of the three best submissions will receive cash prizes to the amount of RS 85,000, 55,000 and 35,000. In addition to the three highest ranked works, additional works that meet the criteria will be published in an electronic journal of student papers.
The deadline for submissions is 31 May 2019.
