In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the UNICEF office in Serbia, the Support Network for Inclusive Education issued a public call for forming the Peer Support Network for Inclusive Education. Nearly 100 student from various schools and towns in Serbia responded to the call. Students of 7th and 8th grades of primary school and students of all grades of secondary schools were selected as participants, from 20 municipalities across Serbia.
The actions of the Peer Support Network are one of the components of the project “Improvement of Education in Serbia through the Development of the Support Network for Inclusive Education” implemented by the Support Network for Inclusive Education in partnership with the UNICEF office for Serbia and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
The Support Network for Inclusive Education provides support to children, students, parents, teachers and schools as a whole, for each child/student to be able to learn, develop, gain confidence and be included in their peer group and general community.
The Peer Network is open to students – peers, friends, those needing support and those providing such support. The goal is for both groups to become networked and visible, and to support each other.
